The HairStory Project is a multimodal art experience providing context for the ongoing debate of natural hair in a way that will both educate the viewer about the history of natural hairstyles and celebrate the roots of their African heritage. Created from a place of love and self-determination, The HairStory Project’s debut production, ReRooted, brings you closer to the stories of Black and Latinx artists whose hair crown has been policed by a society that continues to dehumanize every aspect of their lives.
